Thank you for being part of Stand Up for Princeton, which encourages alumni, faculty, students, and friends to make their voices heard in support of higher education during this challenging period. This inaugural edition of the Stand Up for Princeton newsletter includes three important examples of why we Stand Up and a few simple actions you can take today to support Princeton and American higher education.

Make your voice heard in Washington
Tell your representatives in Congress how higher education has made a difference in your life–and ask for continued federal support for scientific research, student financial aid and academic freedom.
Visit the nonpartisan US.gov site where you can look up your representatives and get contact info. (Hint: Phone calls from constituents have much more impact than emails.)
Support students and research
Give now to participate in the 2025 Annual Giving campaign. With dozens of our grants suspended or under threat, the University will need to draw even more heavily on Annual Giving and other sources. Support is always welcome, and every gift counts.
